Family Spring Break Getaway: Guest Post by Obsessed by Portia

Our friend Obsessed by Portia visited earlier to help us kick off Oyster Month, which goes through April and celebrates our favorite local bivalves! Follow along the next few days to check out how she and her family spent a sunny weekend on the canal.

A spring vacation does a family good.  Taking a few days to play on the beach @alderbrookresort is exactly what we needed.

One of our favorite discoveries @alderbrookresort was finding the opportunity to create around every corner.  Easels and art supplies are readily available and encouraged by the resort

The Restaurant at Alderbrook offers a quintessential Northwest culinary experience with an emphasis on farm to table.  I recommend the homemade pasta paired with a @mosquitofleetwinery Petit Verdot.

Brunch goals achieved

There was nothing but sun during our stay (despite rain everywhere else in the PNW) – so we did a whole lot of this…(

The saltwater pool entertained the girls for hours!  I loved the hot tub, sauna and steam room 🙂

  1. Getaways are always amazing! My family and I make sure we got a little getaway every weekend. This idea makes everyone relax from the weekday work and school. We also make sure that we never skip this routine. We always find time to get along and have some fun.
